Engineered wood shutters are a great middle-ground between solid wood and ABS. They look very similar to our solid wood shutters but are lighter, tougher, and more affordable, so you can use them all over the house without worrying about damage.
Choose from two types of engineered wood: Classic and Cleveland. The Classic range is strong yet lightweight, making it ideal for high traffic areas like kitchens and kids’ rooms where they’re likely to get knocked. Cleveland is a hybrid, teaming engineered wood frames and panels with ABS louvres (another name for the slats). These shutters come in 18 painted colours, and the wipe-clean, waterproof louvres make them particularly good for kitchens and kids’ rooms - though we think they work well almost anywhere in the house.
Both types of engineered wood shutters are crafted from thin lengths of wood that are stripped, shaved, and compressed, bonding the edges together to create a shutter you can count on. Still reading? You must really be into your joinery - so you’ll love that regardless of price point, all our wood shutters are built using mortis and tenon joints, ensuring a reliable, super strong product no matter your budget.
